A.J. Murray


A.J. is a Sr. Network Deployment Engineer for a Partner. He has spent 15+ years in IT as a generalist working as a Systems Administrator, Network Engineer, and IT Manager, covering Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware Virtualization. He is now turning his attention to networking with a focus on Software-Defined networking technologies, including SD-WAN and Data Center solutions. Additionally, he writes articles on his blog, which can be found at, and teaches courses as an Adjunct Professor at Champlain College. For his work as a writer/blogger A.J. has been recognized as both a Cisco Champion and VMware vExpert for several years running.

Andy Lapteff


Andy is a seasoned network guy with 14+ years of experience working in various technical roles. As a Product Manager at Juniper, he works on improving their Data Center products and features. Prior to Juniper, he worked as a network engineer in Fintech, a NOC engineer at an ISP, and a field tech. Andy also has extensive experience in sales and marketing.
His superpowers include curiosity, empathy, active listening, and problem-solving.
In addition to the podcast, Andy creates engaging content for the network engineering community on his YouTube channel and blog, both named Permit IP Andy Andy. In his spare time, Andy enjoys being outdoors with his family, photography, cycling, fishing, BBQ, playing guitar, and learning new things


Daniel Richards


Dan is a network engineer currently working in the insurance industry. He is a jack of all trades master of none kind of engineer, wearing many hats including cloud, WAN, LAN, Data Center, firewall, and load balancing. 

Married with a son, he enjoys spending time with his family. Outside of technology, Dan likes to be outdoors. Fun fact: he is also a wedding photographer/videographer.

Tim Bertino


Tim Bertino is a Senior Network Engineer with over ten years of professional IT experience.  He has a passion for network design and finding the right solutions that fit business needs. Outside of co-hosting on the show, Tim also writes content for the blog.  He has authored content for the CCNA series and the Faces of the Journey line of posts.

Tim is married, has four kids, and lives in the beautiful State of Nebraska. When Tim isn’t recording a podcast episode or writing for the AONE Blog you can find him on his personal blog, Netication!

Lexie Cooper


Lexie is a network engineer fairly new to the trade, with 3 years of professional experience in the industry. She currently works for Blue Origin as an Avionics Integration Engineer. Prior to Blue, she spent several years honing her skills as a Network Reliability Engineer for a large cloud services provider.

Lexie is passionate about encouraging women & girls to join the network engineering field and is always looking for ways to bring about positive change in that arena. You may often catch her live-streaming herself studying for certification exams & learning about new technologies. 
In her free time, Lexie enjoys trail running, hiking, survival horror games, and gazing at big trees.
